In 2017, Boa Fruta, Lda. developed the “Pineapple Composite” project with the intent of reutilizing and recycling all the residual waste originated from the production of the Best Pineapple in the World.
The fibers extracted from the “Rhizome” leaves when reinforced with other polymeric materials originate composite materials that will be used as a base for the creation of environmentally friendly and sustainable Eco-products to serve as furniture and other architectural elements.
